SoCal Swivel is an offline FGC meetup with multiple fighting games and a multi-game tournament. The Swivel is organized into seasons (length TBD). Each season has it's own set of games for the Swivel.

At a random hotel room usually in the Anaheim area. DM @KILosAngeles to RSVP and receive the address for that month's meetup.

It's called the "Swivel" because of the multi-game tournament/circuit. The same players "swivel" from game to game in a sense.

Games are chosen by BaalsDepe per season of the Swivel. At first I'm looking to run games that I feel are under-represented in the mainstream.

Depends on size of player pool. If we have around 10 players we have time to run one single-elim tournament per game. If we have 15 or more players we'll run one double-elim tournament where the game rotates each bracket-round. The players get points based on their position per tournament.

Points are tracked per player for the entire season.

For Swivels that are multiple tournaments (see "How does the tournament work" section) points are awarded for each tournament played based on placement:

• 1st: 20pts
• 2nd: 16pts
• 3rd: 12pts
• 4th: 8pts
• 5th: 4pts
• 6th: 3pts
• 7th: 2pts
• 8th: 1pt

For single-tournament Swivels (see "How does the tournament work" section), points are multiplied by how many games are in the Swivel). If there are 4 games in the Swivel, points distro looks like this:

• 1st: 80pts
• 2nd: 64pts
• 3rd: 48pts
• 4th: 32pts
• 5th: 16pts
• 6th: 12pts
• 7th: 8pts
• 8th: 4pt
